Learning Doesn't Stop When School Lets Out!
The H.E.S. offers a selection of professionally supervised and licensed programs for children ages five to seventeen, who enjoy activities that support their academic, social and recreational needs. The programs are ideal for working parents. We provide a nutritious snack every day, and transportation from most local schools.
- Project Read and Project Math: Weekly small-group learning sessions led by licensed teachers.
- BrainPop Computer Learning Program: Supports cognitive development and academic achievement.
- Supervised homework period: Followed by arts and crafts, basketball, computers, dance, karate . . . and more!
- Resource Room for children with learning disabilities: Special needs children receive individual assistance and counseling, with academic support in small group settings.
- Life Skills Training Program: Develops the skills children need to stay away from drugs and violence.
The H.E.S. accepts 1199, SEIU, TWU, NYC ACS & HRA. Sliding scale fees are available.
