The H.E.S. offers only the best in music instruction. Our music school, which has graduated some 10,000 students, is headed by pianist, Irina Starr, who has been with us for 39 years. Ms. Starr, who graduated from The Music Conservatory of Kiev, has played at Carnegie Hall and taught extensively in New York City.

Whether you're a hesitant beginner, a talented student, or an adult wanting to revive and polish old skills, we can offer:

• Classical conservatory training, with the emphasis on theory and the basics of music and musicianship.
• Instruction in piano, violin, viola, guitar, recorder, drums and voice. (Students may also participate in our string ensemble by audition.)
• All instructors are experienced professionals with graduate-level degrees.
• All lessons are private, and held in soundproofed, air-conditioned studios furnished with Steinway & Sons or Boston concert and baby grand pianos.
• Formal recitals held twice a year in our 287-seat auditorium.
