Adult Programs

The H.E.S. offers a series of different classes for any adult of any age to enjoy. However prior to partaking in any physical classes, we encourage you to talk to your doctor to ensure you do not have any physical limitations or medical conditions that may worsen while performing some of the exercises.

 

All classes can be purchased as individual packages, or always included with any of the H.E.S. Fitness Club Membership Packages.

 

Currently Offered:

 

Cardio Kickboxing (women only) - also known as boxing aerobics, combines martial arts, aerobics and boxing into one intense full-body workout. Although cardio kickboxing originates from full-contact fighting, you do not engage in physical contact with another person while performing cardio kickboxing.

 

Each class begins with a warm-up session that includes exercises such as jumping jacks and push-ups. Then, the routine features a series of repetitive punches alternated with hand strikes and kicks, then a combination of all three techniques in varying sequences. Finally, the routine ends with a series of cool- down exercises such as stretches and floor exercises.

 

The class runs every Thursday from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

 

Yoga – Take an hour off from your busy schedule and join us for a class. Benefits of yoga you can feel are apparent even after the first session. And it doesn't matter what level of flexibility you have, or if you are able to fully get into the postures you are trying to do. Beginners are always welcome!

 

Some benefits of yoga include:

  • which in turn revitalizes your nervous system
  • a feeling of peace and stability
  • holding good posture more easily and without effort
  • becoming acquainted with muscles you didn't know you had - which is the first step in toning them up
  • a feeling of being more energized - if not immediately, certainly the next day

  • increased self-determination, which really flows through into other aspects of your life
  • greater ability to concentrate
  • improvements in blood circulation
  • slowing down the effects of aging on your body
  • a clearer, more healthy looking and radiant face
  • improved strength in your back and stomach - great if you have back problems
  • less stiffness in our joints
