The New H.E.S. operates a safe, professionally supervised, licensed program of quality after school care for children ages 5 to 17 years old. The children are provided with a wide range of activities geared to support their academic, social and recreational needs.

Project Read and Project Math are weekly small group learning sessions lead by NYS licensed teachers.  The Multi-Media Computer Learning Center supports cognitive development and academic achievement.  Homework assignments are completed on a daily basis and homework assistance is part of the program.

Our program provides enriched services for special services children who may have emotional or learning difficulties.  Special needs children receive Individual Educational Program (IEP) which can include additional academic support and individual counseling.

A wonderful Life Skills Training Program is provided to help build the personal skills children need to stay away from drugs and violence.

The program is directed by Ms. Moshit Rivkin, H.E.S. Program Director who holds a Bachelor Degree in Education and supervised by Dr. Hanna Bauer, who holds a doctorate in Children's Services and a Master of Social Work Degree.

Vacation Programs

The New H.E.S. Vacation Program is held on school holidays and half days between 8:00am and 6:00pm.  The days are packed with entertainment and sports activities.
