NYC Learning Lab

NYC LEARNING LAB AT THE H.E.S.

8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.

STARTING SEPTEMBER 29TH

As the New York City Department of Education resumes in-person schooling this fall, most schools and early childhood programs will operate on a blended learning model. This means that each week, students will have some school days in person, and some school days remotely. Learning  Labs is a new program that will provide FREE child care options for children from 3-K through 8th grade on days when they are scheduled for remote learning.

The H.E.S. has been selected to operate an NYC Learning Bridges/Lab for students who attend P.S. 272 Curtis Estabrook or P.S. 276 Louis Marshall.

What does this mean?

Starting September 29th, all families who register (or have already registered) with their local DOE school for the blended learning model* will be eligible to apply for this FREE NYC program, at the H.E.S., on days your child is not attending in-person schooling.
The program will operate Monday – Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.  within the H.E.S. facility located at 9502 Seaview Avenue.
Program available for K-8 graders attending the following schools:
  • P.S. 272 Curtis Estabrook
  • P.S. 276 Louis Marshall

Students will be provided with supervision during virtual schooling, educational support, alongside additional interactive programming during their typical school hours.
