APPLYING TO EARLY CHILDHOOD

Whether you are a new family or a current family, we are honored that you have chosen us to be one of the first stepping stones in your child’s educational journey and for trusting us with your child. 

3-K Applications 

Children born in 2022 can enroll for the 2025-2026 school year.

Pre-K (UPK) Applications

Children born in 2021 can enroll for the 2025-2026 school year.

3-K & Pre-K Admissions Timeline (2026–2027 School Year)

Families interested in enrolling their child in 3-K or Pre-K for the 2026–2027 school year should review the key admissions dates below. Applications are submitted through the NYC Department of Education.

3-K Admissions

Applications Open: Wednesday, January 14, 2026
Applications Close: Friday, February 27, 2026
Offer Release: Tuesday, May 19, 2026

Pre-K Admissions

Applications Open: Wednesday, January 14, 2026
Applications Close: Friday, February 27, 2026
Offer Release: Tuesday, May 12, 2026

We encourage families to apply early and stay informed throughout the admissions process.

There are two ways to apply; Thru NYC’s MySchools portal and NYC’s MyCity portal.

Follow the steps below to make the enrollment process smooth and efficient:

MySchools

Step 1:

• First apply via the NYC DOE’s MySchools portal. Myschools Kindergarten Portal is now open, Registration closes Jan 23rd. 
• On MySchools, families can find us by searching the school code 18KAVQ.
• If you are interested in H.E.S. Early Childhood, please indicate us as your first choice.
• Once your schools are selected, you will answer a few questions about accessibility, sibling(s) before submitting your application.

MyCity

Step 1:

• First apply via the NYC ‘s MyCity portal.
• Complete applicant information
• Upload all required documents

Step 2 for both MySchools and MyCity:

• You will receive your NYC official letter of placement in mid-May.
• You must accept the offer by the due date or the H.E.S. cannot guarantee a seat will be reserved for your child.
• Complete your H.E.S. Early Childhood Registration for 3-K and Pre-K (UPK) after you have accepted the DOE placement.

If you are a family that has an active ACS or HRA voucher and was offered a seat, please contact us directly as the information needed to process your application will require more documentation.
