What's happening at camp this summer?

Special Events

Special events will take place during the summer for all of the campers to enjoy.

Step

Campers will clap, stomp, and step while creating an amazing ensemble of music. Step will be performed as part of our end of the summer show.

Nature and Animal Care

Campers will develop their love for all living things. The H.E.S. Nature Program provides the unique opportunity to get outside, learn about and interact with nature. In addition, campers will have the opportunity to learn about, care for, handle and interact with countless reptiles.

Arts and Crafts

Don’t send good clothing because your children will get messy and have a great time creating amazing arts and crafts projects.

Dance

Campers will learn the newest dances, move to the oldies and shake their bodies during dance. The highlight will be the end of the summer talent show, performed in front of parents, families, friends and welcomed guests.

Organized Sport Activities

Taking place in our fully air-conditioned gym, campers will have the time of their lives racing, competing, and playing socially safe sports with all of their summer camp friends.

Field Activities

During field activities, campers will take part in organized, competitive and fun filled activities in Seaview Park. Campers will have fun, exercise, compete and enjoy the outdoors.

Project Based Learning

Led by a New York State Licensed Teacher, campers will have the opportunity to learn and explore while taking part in fun filled educational projects.

Martial Arts

Campers will take part in recreational Martial Arts. Campers will learn about discipline, self defense, martial arts and have fun while doing so. The campers will learn while having fun, in preparation for our end of the summer talent show.

Baking

Each day, campers will prepare and bake their favorite goodies led by our culinary specialist. From apple pies, to cheese cakes, to double chocolate chip cookies . . . campers will certainly enjoy the taste of this activity!

Chess

Campers will learn how to play, strategize and master the art of chess.

STEM

Campers will take part in STEM based activities. Campers will explore, learn, imagine, develop, create . . . the stars are the limit while they take part in fun filled, engaging activities.

Discussion Group

Led by our on-site counseling staff, campers take part in age appropriate activities and discussions focused around today’s issues faced by today’s youths.

Swim

Each day that campers are in the building for on-site activities, they will participate in swimming. Campers will receive swim instruction for the first half of each session and have free swim for the remainder of the period. Campers will be supervised by our Aquatics Director, trained lifeguards and counselors.
