H.E.S. Camp Xtra is an inclusion-based summer day camp that provides specialized support to children with developmental disabilities within the general HES Camp.

Campers explore an array of safe and fun sites and community-based activities with all children in nonrestrictive settings. In addition, specialized activities and trips are conducted to provide the participants with disabilities with the opportunity to de-compress, be empowered, and as well explore new experiences catered to them. To promote each Camp Xtra camper’s ability to have a successful summer, the appropriate level of assistance is assessed for each child based on their individual needs, from a group setting to a 1:1 camper/staff ratio. Transportation from local areas, lunch, and snacks are provided.

Please note, that an intake/family support meeting is a required enrollment step to confirm eligibility for this service.
