THE H.E.S. SUMMER CAMP
KEEP YOUR CHILDREN PHYSICALLY ACTIVE ALL SUMMER AT THE H.E.S. SUMMER CAMP!
Campers will enjoy amazing trips, exciting activities and sports including karate and basketball, and make some lifelong friends in the process.
Campers have the opportunity to be dropped off early and picked up late, and receive door-to-door transportation as well.

H.E.S. Campers will have the opportunity to take part in some of the many exciting trips that we have planned. The dates of these trips vary based on age group (Teens, Juniors, Seniors) and can range from beautiful state parks to a fun-filled day at Laser Bounce. Looking for the schedule? Click here.
Long Island’s Laser Bounce
Inflatable bounce houses, obstacle courses and a Soft Play Area. Kids love to run and jump at Laser Bounce each and every year and look forward to it as one of their favorite and most memorable trips at H.E.S. Summer Camp.
Who doesn’t love Hershey Park? This amusement park has something for everyone and kids of all ages/sizes, including different roller coasters, water rides, shows to watch, food to eat, and fun games to play with their fellow campers.
The Queens Zoo, managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society and the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation is a favorite among H.E.S. Campers. Exotic animals including: sea lions, bald eagles, bison, bears and more!
Exciting rides, over 100 arcade games and entertainment for everyone. It’s no wonder why H.E.S. Campers love coming to @Play. Whether it’s Laser Tag, Roller Coasters, Bumper Cars or the Arcade, your kids will LOVE @Play.
What’s not to love about our trip to Club Getaway? Our two-day stay includes awesome activities like: rope swings, inflatable water trampolines, slides, karaoke, scavenger hunts, zip line, climbing wall, low ropes challenge and SO much more.
Hempstead State Park
West Hempstead, NY
This beautiful State Park is one of the best in the NY area, featuring playgrounds, trails for horseback riding, biking and hiking trails, picnic areas, fishing ponds and more in a HUGE 737-acre area in Nassau County, Long Island.
Staten Island, NY
Fly High is an indoor trampoline park that is safe and fun for children of all ages. Children love to jump at Fly High and take part in various games including dodgeball and the Fly High Dunk Zone, while getting a great workout as well.
Mountain Creek Water Park
Vernon Township, NJ
Mountain Creek is an exciting water park in New Jersey that features a variety of different water rides for children of all sizes, so you can be sure there is something fun and exciting for your camper to take part in at Mountain Creek.
American Museum of Natural History
New York, NY
Our trip to this great museum is a wonderful break from all of the sports and physical activities and allows campers to appreciate the renowned exhibitions and scientific collections that this museum is world-renowned for.
The H.E.S. Summer Camp operates three session options during the period of June 27 – August 16th.
Session 1: June 27th – July 23rd
Session 2: July 24th – August 16th
Full Session: June 27th – August 16th
The H.E.S. Summer Camp operates Monday through Friday from 9:00A.M. – 4:30P.M.

STEM/PROJECT BASED LEARNING
Led by a New York State Licensed Teacher, campers will have the opportunity to learn and explore while taking part in fun filled educational projects.
Campers will have fun creating music, rhythms and beats during drumming.
MUSIC AND SINGING
Campers will learn how to create music using different instruments while singing and creating fun camp songs.
ORGANIZED GYM ACTIVITIES
Taking place in our fully air conditioned gym, campers will have the time of their lives racing, competing and playing sports with all of their summer camp friends.
Campers will learn the newest dances, move to the oldies and shake their bodies during dance.
Incorporating recreation and fitness, campers will have fun learning about and taking part in the H.E.S. Summer Camp Martial Arts Program.
ARTS AND CRAFTS
Don’t send good clothing because your campers will get messy and have a great time creating amazing arts and crafts projects.
Junior campers will have the opportunity to use the many of the H.E.S. Playgrounds located on-site.
After an exciting fun filled day of activities, the Playstation Room provides the campers a relaxing activity for them to play with their camp friends.
Campers will have the opportunity to be next great singer in our Karaoke Room.
Swimming will provide both instructional and free swim. This activity is supervised and facilitated by our Aquatics Director and H.E.S. Lifeguards. Counselor support and supervise the campers by swimming with the campers.
NATURE AND ANIMAL CARE
Campers will develop their love for all living things. The H.E.S. Nature and Animal Care activity provided our campers with the unique opportunity the learn about, care for and interact with a variety of exotic animals.
Special surprise events will take place during the summer for all of the campers to enjoy.
The H.E.S. Summer Camp is made up of 3 Units, Juniors, Seniors & Teens. Please see below to determine which unit your child would be placed into.
Juniors – Children from 4 years of age to entering 3rd grade
Seniors – Children entering 4th grade through 6th grade
Teens – Children entering 7th grade to 16 years of age
Groups are created within each Unit.
Children are placed together by gender and the grade that the child is entering the following September.
Junior campers go on trips 2 days per week which includes 2 extended day trips to age appropriate water / amusement parks during a full summer session. During the 3 days per week children are not on trips, they take part in onsite fun-filled activities in addition to field activities at Seaview Park.
Senior campers go on trips 3 days per week. Seniors campers go on 2 extended day trips and 2 overnight trips during a full summer session. During the 2 days per week children are not on trips, campers participate in numerous activities in and around the building.
